How hormones initiate reproductive functions

Secretion of hormones from endocrine glands into the blood stream stimulates the male and female reproductive organ i.e. testes and ovaries respectively to release testosterone (in male) and estrogen (in female).

They get released into the bloodstream and reaches different body parts (known as target site).

These released hormones stimulates the changes in the body of a child as soon as they reach the age of adolescence.
